YOUR PURPOSE & GOD’S TIMING

On Monday of last week, I made a post about there being only 28 more days left in 2023. I talked about being pregnant with purpose and I also stated that the world needs something that only YOU were born to do. I stand by what I said. Chosen one, your birth was not a mistake. You were born for such a time as this. YOU are a solution to somebody's problem. That somebody is counting on you to do what God placed you on this earth to do- to give birth to your purpose.

Having said that, that post about the urgency to PUSH right now was not meant for everyone. You see, TIMING is everything. Although all of us are pregnant with purpose, not everyone goes into labor or into the delivery room at the same time.

Let me explain.

I once had a friend who often did the same things I did, and back then most of those things were not good. Our actions landed us into some sticky situations, but I'm thankful that God saved a wretch like me. Anyway, I was pregnant and on my way to the hospital because I was in labor. My friend was also pregnant but was only in her first trimester. What if she had followed my lead and said, "Oooh I'm going to the hospital with you because I want to have my baby today. I'm ready to give birth right now!"
We ought to thank God for His perfect timing because if He gave us everything we wanted whenever we wanted it, we'd be in bad shape. We'd be like: Lord, take this man back. Take this car and this woman back. Give me my season of singleness back. Lord, this job is too stressful. I want my other job back.

Now my friend did not speak those words about wanting to follow me to the hospital to give birth in her first trimester of pregnancy, but what if she had and what if that had been possible?
We all know that God is the creator of life. He works at His own pace and doesn't need anyone's help. there's a reason why most babies don't exit their mother's womb until after the third trimester. During pregnancy, the baby prepares him or herself for life in the outside world. It is in the womb where the baby's brain and other organs are being formed. It's a whole process- a beautiful process. Again, timing is everything.

Our God is a God of order- not confusion. He took His time and carefully created the heavens and the earth. There's a reason why He created certain things on the days He did, including His decision to create man on the sixth day. Our God moves with purpose and precision. He created you on purpose and with a purpose, but just because you are pregnant with purpose does not mean it's time to push (first trimester vs third trimester). Sometimes God is still getting you ready. There are important questions that must be asked such as: Which season are you in? Are you even in labor? Bc an embryo can’t step out into the world and function like a third trimester baby.

Just like that baby has to be formed in the womb and goes from being a tiny zygote to an embryo to a fetus and then to a baby...it takes time when God is preparing us for what's to come. Just because our friend or family member is ready does not mean that we are, and we should not force it nor should we stress ourselves out.

As we get ready to approach a new year, some of us are in labor and have been procrastinating, scared, distracted, etc. All these people need to do is PUSH and give it all they have. But there are some of us who are still in our first or second trimester yet we're stressing, thinking we're supposed to be in the same stage as our neighbor or our co-worker. We're stressing because we know it's almost 2024 and our anxiety has us rushing to birth something that is not done yet.

STOP!

Let go and let God. Learning how to be still in His presence is a beautiful thing that will help us during those anxious or self-defeating moments. Celebrate where you are. Stop using other people's rulers to measure your success. Stop being a people pleaser and a validation seeker. Stop panicking. Stop listening to negative and unhappy people. Hit pause. Exhale. Relax. Live. You may have gotten a late start in life, but you are exactly where God wants you to be. Your purpose is not going anywhere.

Galations 6:9 says And let us not grow weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV

I know you vowed on December 31st to push that thing out and now you’re feeling like a failure, but you’re not. You’re a work in progress. You got this and God has you!😊
